Who run the world? Moms!
This Mother’s Day, make sure you make time for mom. By mom, I mean make time for the mother figure that has nurtured, guided, and loved you with no conditions. Grandmother, step-mother, adopted mother, biological mother, or any women that have filled in that role for you. We love them all!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m the flowers and card kind of person, but I know my mom would appreciate time spent with me so much more. An activity I planned out all for her. Mom’s aren't ones to expect anything elaborate, although a helicopter ride would be nice I was thinking something more viable.
Look no further...I created a list of things to do with mom on Mother's Day weekend!
1. Picnic in the park
Easy, make her a delicious lunch, have a blanket spread out at a nice park, and you have the perfect mom and me date. Don’t forget the wine!
2. Self-care Day
Treat your mom to a relaxing pedicure or spa trip. She’ll love it and you’ll love it. It's a win for you both.
3. Movie night
It’s always a good idea to stay in and watch some of your childhood favorites or bring out the home videos for the best kind of laughs down memory lane.
4. Visit a museum
If you live in a big city, this is one of the best things to do! Interactive pop-up museums are a thing now. Check for one near to you.
5. Get facials
Can never go wrong with treating your mom and yourself to a facial. Super relaxing and it will have you feeling brand new after!
6. Take her shopping
One of my favorites. I know my mom doesn’t shop for herself much, but this will give her an excuse to treat herself.
7. Cooking class
Not to learn to cook but to create something together as a team can make for a fun bonding activity.
8. Craft class
Think 1st grade Mother's Day gift turned up a notch. Check your local craft store for classes on Mother’s Day weekend.
