The adventure continues our journey through the amazing country of Italy. Our first stop in Italy was the peaceful town of Pisa. The cobblestone lined streets filled with the laughter of families and the delicious aroma of freshly made pizza. Yum!
From Pisa, we hopped on a high-speed train heading down the road to Rome. We arrived in the thriving city ready to freshen up on our ancient Roman history and explore the bustling streets. There were many great sights to see including the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and of course we had to make a wish at the Trevi Fountain. Rome was such an incredible city that's full of rich culture and fantastic food.
The next stop on our exciting journey was the beautiful Amalfi Coast. To get there, we took another high-speed Italian train that soared down the coast from Rome to Naples. From Naples, we then decided to take the local light rail train all the to Sorrento. The whole trip only took about two and a half hours.
Lugging our bags down the stunning cliffs of Sorrento we, at last, reached our little seaside hotel that overlooked what seemed like the entire Tyrrhenian Sea with its vibrant hues of blue. With our willingness to the adventure, we immediately dropped off our bags and headed to the port to catch the last ferry to the Isle of Capri.
Capri is one of the most stunning and beautiful places in the world. We ventured out to this island for a taste of relaxation. The seaside cliffs, pebble stone beaches, and captivating blue water was the ultimate paradise.
Our last European destination on the Amalfi Coast was the charming town of Positano. We saved the best for last because this place was truly a dream. We spent the day there touring through the steep steps and overlooking the beautiful shops that lined the hillside town. Our last night stood out to us with stunning views, freshly made pasta, and of course TONS of sweet, delicious gelato.
Europe was such a perfect time, and we will be back to continue the Treehut adventure. We hope you enjoyed the exciting details of our travels.
