A Love Full Of Magic.
Kelsey Stacy, a first-grade teacher, blogger, and writer, met Heather Pearsons, an Accountability Coach/ business owner through Instagram. What first began as a professional relationship between coach and trainee, sparked something so much more.
After Kelsey joined Heather's online training program, they found an instant connection. Although Heather wanted to keep things strictly professional, Kelsey knew there as a connection. Two weeks after Kelsey quit the program, Heather drove six hours just to meet her in person! It was no surprise that the connection was real, so they made it official that night.
“Heather and I have been through some of life’s toughest battles together. She has a way of keeping me calm during the storm, holds me up when I can’t hold myself, and vice versa. We complement each other so well. We have a way of being exactly what the other one needs at any given moment. Together, we strive to make a positive impact on the world, yet we also push each other to be the best individual versions of ourselves. Through loving her, I now more deeply love myself. She’s my best friend, my greatest supporter, my own personal accountability coach, and the love of my life. She’s my everything. “

On October 27, 2018, Heather asked Kelsey to marry her in a very unique way. Heather and Kelsey threw a Halloween party for all of their friends. They decided to dress up as characters from the Harry Potter series, Draco Malfoy and Astoria Greengrass. On the night of the party, Heather sent Kelsey and her two friends to pick up some pizza. Suddenly the truck stopped in a neighborhood instead of a pizza place. Outside of the house was a Little Free Library. When Kelsey’s friend told her to look inside, she knew something was up. To her surprise, she found the first Harry Potter Book with a letter from Heather. Suddenly all of her friends walked up and they took her to two more Little Free Libraries that also held Harry Potter books and a letter from Heather. At the second library, she found her best friend from high school, and at the third, she found her best friend since first grade. Heather had flown both of her best friends from Mississippi to be here in Portland for their special moment. When they returned to their apartment, Heather was waiting on the rooftop, in the rain, holding the fourth Harry Potter book. The pages were folded to say “Marry Me”, surrounded by all of their friends Kelsey said “YES” before Heather could even ask the big question.
“LOVE IS... magical, intangible, unbreakable, passionate, understanding, unconditional, nonjudgmental, selfless, and worthwhile. It’s active and intentional. It’s a kaleidoscope of emotions wrapped into one indescribable pull towards another. It’s imperfectly perfect.”
