From the photo, it looks like the wristband wood should be noticeably brown, and that the wood on the face will be textured and interesting. However, the wristband is almost black, and the face looks a bit like plywood, not marbled like in the photo. I guess I wish the watch looked more obviously like wood. Still, the craftsmanship is solid and I like the watch overall.

I wish the watch face had a bit more character. It is quite plain. Being a wood worker myself, I was a bit disappointed knowing how amazing burl wood can be. The watch face was not even close to the advertised picture. The face also looks to only have a light sanding and no finish to it. The watch band is beautiful and feels amazing to the touch. Over all I’m happy with the watch because my husband loves it. I don’t have the heart to tell him I what I think...
